The Cobb County Convention & Visitors Bureau honored the city of Kennesaw as its Service Member of the Year at the bureau's annual meeting Nov. 11.
The bureau, responsible for growing the tourism and hospitality industries in Cobb, cited Kennesaw for opening a pedestrian underpass that provides safe access to city amenities. The bureau also mentioned the accolades Smith-Gilbert Gardens received from the American Rose Society.
