The MinuteClinic walk-in medical clinic inside the CVS at 3070 North Main Street NW is offering complimentary A1c tests to diabetics through Dec. 31. Sponsored by Bayer Diabetes Care, the tests are free of charge and available while supplies last.
MinuteClinic practitioners will check the patient's vital signs, review medical history and administer the blood test; results are available within five minutes and are discussed with the patient. A visit summary that includes the A1c test results will be made available to primary care providers with patient permission.
