Officer Adam Hainline was named Officer of the Year during the Kennesaw Police Department's annual awards dinner Nov. 12.
Police Chief Bill Westenberger presented awards to the following officers for going above and beyond the call of duty:
- Meritorious Award—Officer Samone Burnes, Sgt. George Grumbein, Officer Scott Lewis, Officer Walker MacGregor, Sgt. Marty Cunningham, Officer J.T. Irwin, Officer Joy Longley, Sgt. Kelly Miller, Officer Timothy Sharp, Officer Ronald Thomas, Officer Mark Webster, Officer Drew Steinmetz and Lt. Tracy Washburn.
- Community Service Award—Detective Keith Todman and Officer Scott Luther.
- Chief's Award—Officer Ed Christian.
- Life Saving Award—Detective Chris Burr and Officer Michael Maynard.
