Three Cornerstone Prep Students Chosen for Ga Tech Program

Hannah Gurniewicz, Bekah James, both sophomores, and Catherine-Ann Marlow, a junior, from Cornerstone Preparatory Academy have all been chosen to participate in the Georgia Tech Society of Women Engineers (SWE) engineering outreach program on November 21.   Through the program, high school girls will be introduced to various engineering majors and career options, encouraged to pursue an interest in math, science and engineering through campus tours and hands-on experiences and provided with the opportunity to meet one-on-one with current female engineering students. The SWE is an organization primarily devoted to education. SWE's mission statement reminds members and officers to increase community and campus awareness of the opportunities in science and engineering, especially for young women.
