5 Things: Live Commissioners Meeting

Here are five things you should know before you leave the house today.

1. Today will be mostly sunny with a high near 67 and wind gusts up to 30 mph. Tonight will be mostly clear with a low around 41.

2. The Cobb County Board of Commissioners will meet today at 9 a.m. to discuss and vote on how to eliminate a $31 million shortfall in this year's budget. Today's meeting could decide the fate of 13 Cobb libraries, which in Chair Tim Lee's original budget plan, would close down by May 1 of this year.

3. Today kicks off the at the . From now until April 16, admission is free for children under the age of 8, with additional kids under 8 in the same family admitted for $2.25. Today's special program, Train Tales, will be offered every hour between 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

4. Tonight at 8, KSU mixed chamber ensembles will perform at Bailey Performance Center, featuring works by guest artist Thomas Benjamin, a professor of music at Peabody Conservatory. Admission is free.
