Park rangers at Lake Allatoona are in the midst of another busy recreation season, which will require the suspension of some normal ranger duties.
Starting this week, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will suspend evaluations of permit requests for new private docks, upgrades to existing private docks and proposed shoreline stabilization projects.
"We regret any inconvenience this may cause, but it is important to shift available staff and assist project visitors during the peak recreation season," the USACE said in a release.
Shoreline management requests will resume after the Labor Day holiday.
