Eric Lindell to Take the Stage at KSU

Kennesaw State University's Starlight Summer Concert Series continues this weekend with a performance by the blues guitarist.

Kennesaw State University's Starlight Summer Concert Series continues this Sunday with a performance by Louisiana-based blues guitarist Eric Lindell.

The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. at the Legacy Gazebo Amphitheater on campus. Described as a “tremendous talent with a poet’s soul” by the Chicago Sun Times, Lindell’s musical style borrows from 1970s blues-rock, creating a mix of soul, blues, R&B and jazz with a dash of country.

David Daly, director of KSU's Dr. Bobbie Bailey and Family Performance Center, said Lindell’s music is “a smooth blend of guitar-driven blues, blue-eyed soul, and the unique blend of sounds that New Orleans music is known for. It's a feel-good, rootsy sound that makes it hard to sit still while listening to it.”
