Gingrich to Address Cobb Chamber

GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich will speak at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on Thursday.

Republican presidential candidate and former U.S. Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich will speak at a Cobb Chamber of Commerce breakfast event this Thursday at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

The sold out event is expected to draw a crowd of more than 500 guests, and is one of the last stops for Gingrich during his campaign tour in Georgia. As a former Georgia congressman and Cobb County resident, Gingrich represents one of the many state and federal legislators to hail from Cobb.

“We are extremely honored to host Speaker Gingrich at this event,” said David Connell, president of the Cobb Chamber. “Our Chamber has been recognized nationally for its efforts to connect businesses, government and the community to grow small businesses, create jobs and drive economic development."

With its history of a strong pro-business environment, Cobb has unparalleled cohesion and cooperation among federal, state and local elected officials and governments with the business community; Gingrich’s visit to the Cobb Chamber will further enrich this relationship, according to a release by the Chamber.

"Cobb County is one of the nation's economic leaders, and I'm eager to return to my home district to see old friends and business leaders," said Gingrich.
