Hundreds Race in Swift Cantrell Classic

About 850 people participated in the second annual event in downtown Kennesaw.

Saturday morning, about 850 people participated in Kennesaw's second annual Swift Cantrell Classic. The 5k race raised about $15,000 for improvements to and is the first of six races in the Kennesaw Grand Prix Series.Β 

Daniel Bledsoe, the newest officer, placed first in the men's overall division with a time of 16:21, finishing nearly a minute ahead of the pack. Tara Mooney finished first in the women's division with a time of 19:36. She also won the city's in December of last year.
