Kennesaw State University has said yes to football and in 2011 hired new athletic director Vaughn Williams to help lead the way. Now, the university is amping up its school spirit with a new fight song it hopes will be "heard all through the Southland."

The fight song will make its ceremonious debut during Friday's men’s basketball game against rivals the Mercer University Bears.

There will be a 5 p.m. tailgate for fans outside of the Convocation Center before the fight song is played at 6:45. The game begins at 7 p.m. and will be broadcast live on Comcast/Charter Sports Southeast network. 

The Lady Owls take on Mercer Saturday at 5 p.m.
