Support the arts and local students during a night out at the Strand.

Tonight at 7, community members are invited to attend a showcase of performing arts talent from 10 Cobb County schools. Kennesaw Mountain and Harrison will represent Kennesaw in an effort to raise funds for the Earl Smith Strand Theatre and promote local drama programs.

As an alum of KMHS, I have to say that our drama program is amazing. In fact, Kennesaw Mountain drama teacher Coy Dunn was honored in 2011 as Cobb's Teacher of the Year.

What: Showcase of student talent from Harrison, Hillgrove, Kell, Kennesaw Mountain, McEachern, Osborne, Pebblebrook, Pope, South Cobb and Walton high schools.

Where: Earl Smith Strand Theatre on Marietta Square.

When: Tuesday, Jan. 24, at 7 p.m.

Price: $3 at the door.
