Winning Quilter Coming to Kennesaw

Betty New will teach three classes.

Cottontail Quilts is excited to announce that Betty New, a national award-winning quilter, will be teaching three classes at Cottontail Quilts at the end of March. In addition to entering quilting competitions throughout the United States, Betty designs quilts for Windham Fabrics. Several of her quilt designs have been published in various quilting magazines such as Fons and Porter’s Love of Quilting.

Teaching free motion machine quilting on the home sewing machine is Betty’s specialty. Betty is scheduled to teach the following classes at Cottontail Quilts:

  • Machine Appliqué Techniques – March 26
  • Quilt Like This – March 27
  • Beginning Free Motion – March 29

She also teaches several other types of classes such as quilting with the walking foot, machine appliqué, skill building, and EQ7. She never holds back on sharing her knowledge of quilting with her students and loves learning from them as she teaches from place to place. Betty has had the opportunity to learn from many of the best national teachers and she loves to pass on what she has learned to others. Betty’s work can be seen by visiting her website, www.bettynew.com.
