5 Things: Chance of Thunderstorms; Palin, Potter Double Feature

Here are five things you should know before you leave the house today.

1. According to the National Weather Service, today will be partly sunny with a high near 93 and a 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m. Tonight will be mostly cloudy with a low near 73 and a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

2. Tomorrow is a big day at the movies. Not only is Friday the opening day of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2," but it's also  a documentary film about Sarah Palin slated to open in only 10 theaters nationwide, including AMC Barrett Commons 24 in Kennesaw.

3. In case you missed it, Councilmember Cris Eaton-Welsh for Post 1 of the Kennesaw City Council. The City of Kennesaw's General Election will be held Nov. 8 for Mayor and City Council Posts 1 and 2. Also on the ballot–a referendum for Sunday alcohol sales.
