Here are five things you should know before you leave the house today.

1. Today, there is a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. with a high near 89. Tonight will be partly cloudy with a 10 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8 p.m and a low around 63.

2. Congratulations to graduating seniors! The university will hold its Spring Commencement ceremonies today and tomorrow. Listed below are the scheduled ceremonies:

5. Did You Know? On this day in history in 1893, The Supreme Court of the United States ruled that a tomato is a vegetable, not a fruit, under the Tariff Act of 1883. Botanically, however, the tomato is considered a fruit. Confused yet?
