5 Things: Let's Make Music, Weekend Plans

Here are five things you should know before you leave the house today.

1. According to the National Weather Service, today will be partly sunny with a high around 93 and heat index values up to 100. There is a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2 p.m. Tonight's low will be near 72 with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 2 a.m.

2. Bring the little ones to the for its weekly Mommy and Me preschool program. In today's theme, "Let’s Make Music," the kids will learn about historical music and instruments. The class starts at 10 a.m. and is free with regular museum admission.
