Kennesaw is hosting a community blood drive at Ben Robertson Community Center from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. today.
Donors will be entered into a contest for a $1,000 American Express gift card that can be used to purchase gas, rent, food or tickets to your favorite concert or sporting event.
Donors should expect the process to last no more than 45 minutes. That is how long it will take from the time you arrive until the time you leave. It only takes 8 to 10 minutes for nurses to take your blood.
