As part of the Fit City Kennesaw initiative, the City of Kennesaw is partnering with WellStar to provide free biometric health screenings for area residents on Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Ben Robertson Community Center, 2753 Watts Drive.
Total cholesterol and glucose screenings will be performed via finger stick, with results received in minutes. In addition, blood pressure screenings, Body Mass Index (BMI) and waist circumference measurements will be provided at no charge.
Keeping your BMI, blood pressure, cholesterol and blood glucose levels within healthy ranges, along with good nutrition and exercise, helps maintain good quality health and improve overall quality of life.
Fasting is not required. The health data is strictly confidential and will remain between WellStar and the participant.
For more information about the screening, call the Kennesaw Parks & Recreation Department at (770) 422-9714.
