City Council Member Cris Welsh was named Person of the Year by the Kennesaw Business Association (KBA) during the Tuesday, Dec. 10 luncheon.

This award, given annually, is also called the Dr. Frank Boone Award in memory of the much beloved local veterinarian. It recognizes the individual who “is a shining example of the very best the KBA has to offer.”  The award was presented by Past President Laura Ann Hart.

Welsh was cited for her involvement in the KBA as a member of the Board of Directors and past membership chair. As the owner of Eaton Chiropractic, she supports the membership through her patronage of as many local member businesses as possible. She was also recognized for championing wellness and encouraging family fitness through Kennesaw’s Fit City initiative and Kilometer Kids programs.

“Cris is someone who gives more than she receives,” said Hart. “She puts others first and has great character and strength during the good and bad times. This woman has a true servant's heart!”
