Flood Watch In Effect Through Saturday

A slow-moving weather system will move over Kennesaw and the metro Atlanta area.

A flood watch is in effect from Atlanta southward through Saturday afternoon due to the potential for flooding in creeks, streams and flood-prone areas.

A slow-moving weather system will move over Atlanta through Saturday producing more than four inches of rain across central Georgia with up to an inch of rain possible in Atlanta.

Showers moved in Thursday night and will continue today with a second round of scattered rain moving in Friday night through Saturday morning.

Temperatures in Kennesaw are expected to reach the mid 40s Friday night.

For Saturday, the chance of showers will be 80 percent and most likely before 11 a.m.

On Sunday, skies will be sunny with temperatures reaching into the low 60s. But there's a chance that more rain will move into Kennesaw Sunday night and into the early part of next week.

Sunday night's low is expected to be in the high 30s.
