This weekend, temperatures will stay in the high 70s to low 80s. Bring an umbrella to any outdoor events you attend this weekend, as there is a slight chance of rain all three days. Regardless, why not check out some of these fun, family-friendly weekend activities?

Where/When: ; Saturday, 6 p.m.

Why Go: Although the movies begin at dark, arrive at the park at 6 and let the kids play games and get their faces painted!

Pricing: Free; bring your own lawn chairs, blankets, etc.

Where/When: The Depot across from ; Saturday (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) and Sunday (noon to 4 p.m.)

Why Go: Do your kids think history is just stuff that happened a long time ago and is no longer important? Take them to “Through the Ages: a Living History Timeline” and change their minds.

Pricing: $5/adult, $3/children 4-12

Where/When: ; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

Why Go: What better way to show your kids about being environmentally conscious than to recycle unwanted items yourself?

Pricing: Free, donations accepted

4. Acworth Opry

Where/When: ; Saturday, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Why Go: What better way to enjoy the weekend than sitting in a lawn chair and taking in an outdoor concert?

Pricing: Free

5. Football and Cheerleading Registration

Where/When: ; Saturday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Why Go: Do your kids want to play football or be cheerleaders but you don't want to pay a huge registration fee? Register at this event and save some cash!

Pricing: $150 per registration for residents, $170 for non-residents
