Get Out: Safe Driving Clinic, Outdoor Concert

According to The Weather Channel, we will be in for another hot weekend locally. Temperatures are expected to stay in the high 80s and low 90s, with no rain in sight. Once you've hydrated and applied sunscreen, why not head over to one of these local weekend events?

Why Go: Your son or daughter is just about ready to hit the open road, but you want him or her to be the safest, most defensive driver he or she can be. This free clinic, run by the police, will teach your teens everything they need to know to stay safe on the road.

Why Go: It's almost been too hot to enjoy playing tennis during the day. Thankfully, this doubles tournament will be played at night when it's cooler and more enjoyable. You will β€œlove” playing at night!

Why Go: Do you need an extra push to get off the couch and into a healthy lifestyle? The proceeds from this race go directly towards the award-winning Kennesaw Mountain Marching Band, which will be performing during the day.

5. Love the Lake Concert Series

Where/When: ; Friday, 6:00 p.m.

Why Go: What could be more summery than fireworks and a concert at the lake? If you were rained out on July 4, come out on Friday and make up for lost time.

Pricing: Free; If you don't have a Cauble Park parking pass, park at the or and take the shuttle to the park.
