Get Out: Youth Sports, Yard Sale

Patch wants to help you get the most out of your weekend.

Aren't these cooler temperatures great? According to the National Weather Service, we won't see a high above 82 degrees this weekend. There is a 30 percent chance of rain on Friday, but other than that we should be dry. This gorgeous weather is perfect for these family-friendly fun weekend events.

Why Go: Is your preschooler a budding horticulturalist? Take him or her to the gardens to learn about the environment and how we can keep it safe for the next generation.

Why Go: The Cobb County Volleyball Tournament has kicked off! Come root for your Mustangs as they try to become the best in the county.

Why Go: Just because Braves season is coming to a close doesn't mean you have to give up on ballgames entirely. North Cobb takes on Griffin on Saturday.

Why Go: Need some new clothes, furniture, or nick-nacks? Come see what Shiloh Hills is offering at their yard sale.

Why Go: The Thrashers may have left us, but we don't have to leave hockey. Encourage your little Andrew Ladd or Alex Ovechkin to keep skating, or just come see what the next generation of hockey players can do.
