Why Go: When was the last time you rolled on a pair of skates and got to shoot glow-in-the-dark lasers at your kids?

Pricing: $8 admission all day; Family package available for $65. Includes skating and rental, playzone, 24 game tokens, large pizza and pitcher of soda for family of five. (One adult must be present.)

Why Go: Kick up your heels to ye-haw tunes at this family hoe-down. Enjoy craftime with the kids and have a bite to eat but not before a go on the mechanical bull. 

Pricing: Advance tickets are $20 per couple ($10 for each additional family member). Children ages 3 and under are free. Tickets can be purchased online or at the Ben Robertson Community Center.

Parenting Workshop: Parenting with Personality

Why go: Learn to identify your own personality style, as well as your child’s, and apply practical techniques that encourage and empower your child to be his or her best.

Where/When: From the comfort of home; ongoing throughout the month of February in celebration of Sweet Tomatoes Spuds Month.

Why do it: Because it’s free fun and entertainment for your kids and encourages healthy eating habits. Enjoy downloadable activity sheets, coloring sheets and games.

Children’s Book of the Month Club

Where/When: Online anytime.
