GSO Cancels Performances, Fit City

has canceled four of its remaining seven performances this season to avoid going into debt, reports the Marietta Daily Journal. In May, the Kennesaw-based orchestra changed its name from the Cobb Symphony Orchestra to the Georgia Symphony Orchestra to reflect its growth. In other arts-related news, Kennesaw Patch is offering two free tickets to the Blast! musical at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. In case you missed it, the mayor's office has launched a new health and wellness initiative called Fit City Kennesaw. Join other community members in a citywide effort to get healthy.
