Keep Cobb Beautiful Seeks Associate Board Members

The Associate Board Member program is a great opportunity for Cobb County students.

posted by Justin Ove

The non-profit organization responsible for recycling and improving the environment in Cobb County is accepting applications for young people to serve on its board.

Keep Cobb Beautiful (KCB) will accept students of Cobb County's high schools and colleges who are at least 16 years old for their Associate Board Member (ABM) Program.

ABMs learn how non-profit organizations work behind the scenes and are given many opportunities to assist with events, earn community service hours, and even sit on the KCB board.

Participants must be able to attend KCB meetings, represent the organization at luncheons and other functions, and help engage with schools and civic organizations.

The ABMs who create the most engagement and make the biggest impact will earn college scholarships.

Students must be able to commit 35 hours to their KCB duties through their October-May terms of office, andΒ be able to interact with elected officials, civic leaders, and the general public. Students must not be a member of any hate groups or militant organizations.

Applications for Associate Board Members are due by Friday, Sept. 20, and can be submitted by:

  • E-mail: KeepCobbBeautiful@cobbcounty.org
  • By fax: (770) 528-2504
  • By mail to: Keep Cobb Beautiful, Inc. Associate Board Member Program, 1940 County Services Parkway, Marietta, GA 30008
