Kennesaw Libraries to Celebrate Women's History Month

Mark you calendars.

It's Women's History Month, and the Cobb County Public Library System will honor the contributions of women throughout the month with free film screenings and book discussions.

The Kennesaw Library has two events planned.

At 1:30 p.m. March 23, the library's book club will discuss Cleopatra: A Life by Stacy Schiff.

If you can't make that date, don't worry. It will be offered again at 2 p.m. March 26.

Meanwhile, the West Cobb Regional Library in Kennesaw will host a film series at 3 p.m. every Saturday of the month.

  • March 9: The Hunger Games (PG-13)
  • March 16: Princess and the Frog (G)
  • March 23: Coraline (PG)
  • March 30: Brave (PG)

Additionally, the Beyond Rosie: Women in World War II exhibit will be on display during the entire month. On loan from Kennesaw State University's Museum of History and Holocaust Education, the exhibit shows how the war changed social, cultural and economic realities in the United States for women.
