Last Two Standing For Miss Georgia Title Had Cobb Ties

The new Miss Georgia 2014 is Maggie Bridges, a 21-year-old junior at the Georgia Institute of Technology. 

In an exciting finish to the 70th anniversary Miss Georgia Pageant in Columbus last Saturday, Ms. Bridges, the 2013 Miss Cobb County, and Taylor Voyles, Miss Cobb County 2014, were the last two standing from a field of 39 young ladies from across the Peach State. 

Ms. Bridges represented Capital City this year with Ms. Voyles placing lst runner-up. The new Miss Georgia will compete for the title of Miss America in September in Atlantic City. Ms. Voyles is a senior majoring in biology at Kennesaw State University.

Young women are invited to enter the 57th annual Miss Cobb County Scholarship Pageant set for the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre, Cobb County Civic Center, Marietta, on Sept. 6, 2014. The deadline to enter is July 22.
