State of the County, City; Career Expo

Here's the morning rundown of what you need to know on Monday, Jan. 9.

Good morning, Kennesaw. The holidays have come and gone, and now, it's back to business as usual. Starting with this post, I'll be doing a morning briefing each weekday with pertinent information to help you start your day.

A very early address. Cobb County Chairman Tim Lee will deliver his State of the County address this morning at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. The Cobb Chamber of Commerce's First Monday Breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. General admission is $40 for members and $60 for non-members. Click here for more information. Speaking of the state of things, Kennesaw will deliver his State of the City address Tuesday during the Kennesaw Business Association's monthly luncheon. The event will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the KSU Center, located at 3333 Busbee Dr. in Kennesaw.

Also at the KSU Center, is hosting a free Career Expo there on Thursday night. If you haven't seen the commercials on TV about the event or missed our announcement about it last week, please If the prospect of exploring a new career path hasn't grabbed your attention, keep in mind that one lucky attendee will receive a free iPad 2.
