What You Need to Know for the Taste of Kennesaw

Over 20,000 people will visit downtown Kennesaw to eat, drink, listen to music and enjoy family fun attractions.

Sample over 40 local restaurants from the Kennesaw and Cobb County area at the Taste of Kennesaw on Saturday, Sept. 7. 

The fun kicks off in downtown Kennesaw at 11 a.m. and goes till 8 p.m.

The Taste of Kennesaw will also feature a Beer Garden.

Main Street will be filled with delicious treats and fun activities. More than 30 restaurants participated in the 2012 Taste of Kennesaw.

The Main Street entertainment stage will have local entertainment all day and culminate with Sons of Sailor’s: A Jimmy Buffett Tribute Band in concert at 6 p.m.  
The Taste of Kennesaw beer garden will feature acoustic sounds of Scott Thompson from11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

There will be a wide variety of children’s activities from a Quad Bungee, Rockwall, inflatable slides, bounces, a trackless train and more.               

The Taste of Kennesaw will benefit five local charities:

  • Shop with a Mustang (Kennesaw Mountain High School)
  • Shop with a Warrior (North Cobb High School)
  • Shop with a Longhorn (Kell High School)
  • MUST Ministries
  • Jerry Worthan Community Christmas Fund

Four local high school seniors will compete in the Carrabba’s Culinary Cook-off on the Depot stage at the Taste of Kennesaw for a $3,000 scholarship to the culinary school of choice.   

The first two will go head to head from 10:30 a.m. to noon and the second two from 12:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Parking will be available throughout the downtown area as well as Adams Park and First Baptist Church of Kennesaw.   Handicap parking will be in the Depot parking lot.
