Accomplishment: Choi Kwang Do International, Student of the Month

Noah currently holds his orange belt in Choi Kwang Do, having worked his way up through eight different belts in a little over a year since he began taking classes. Noah was honored as Student of the Month on the merit of his accomplishments. As part of the studio’s guidelines, the students promise to always do their best and never give up, obey their parents and teachers, always tell the truth and honor their word, always be polite and never misuse what they learn. The students are also expected to abide by the principals of Choi Kwang Do: humility, honesty, gentleness, perseverance, self control and unbreakable spirit. The Choi Kwang Do promise and principals are to be practiced in all aspects of their lives including home and school.

Noah has been invited into the black belt club, signified by a red uniform, which means he is a leader in training. The black belt club is by invitation only through the recommendation of Noah’s instructors. The kids who wear red uniforms are expected to set examples for the other students, and most aspire to become future instructors one day. Noah recently participated in his school talent show where he demonstrated some of his Choi Kwang Do skills.

He says he enjoys Choi Kwang Do “because it's fun" and also likes learning self defense. “I have learned how to get stronger and faster by taking Choi Kwang Do," says Noah.

In addition to Choi Kwang Do, Noah is very involved in Cub Scouts and loves the outdoors, riding his bike and walking his dog, Malie. Noah’s favorite subject is science and his favorite place to visit is the Tellus Museum. Noah says he is very committed to his goal of earning his black belt and joining the demo team for Choi Kwang Do International. Noah is a great inspiration to other kids in our community and a welcome addition to our club of Kennesaw Patch Whiz Kids. Congratulations, Noah. We are proud of you.
