ROCK TO THE TOP

Fans of Swift-Cantrell Park are being asked to show their support by attending a free concert in the park featuring local bands and solo artists on Saturday, June 30 from 12 to 8 p.m. During the event, called "ROCK TO THE TOP," attendees will be encouraged to bring laptops, smartphones or tablets and vote for Swift-Cantrell Park in Coca Cola's "America Is Your Park" campaign. The top three vote-getting parks will earn cash prizes. Organizers of the event will be on hand to provide instructions about voting, and vote-a-thon stations will be set up for those that don't have smart devices. In addition to the live music, free food and children's activities will be provided.

Stage lineup:
12:00 p.m. Azreal (Alternative/Rock)
2:00 p.m. Richard Benson, The Singing Electrician (Pop/Classic Rock)
4:00 p.m. Carly Butler (Singer/Songwriter)
4:30 p.m. The City Church Collective
5:30 p.m. Everything's Jake (Classic Rock)

The contest requires voting online at livepositively.com/parks to earn one point per vote for the park. But 100 votes are awarded to anyone "checking in" using the foursquare location-based mobile app. Individuals must register foursquare accounts at livepositively.com/parks before checking in, then follow the directions to accept the application permissions. There is no limit to the number of votes one person can cast. The contest ends on July 15.
