'The Voice' Recap: Pip Vs. Nathan

The 19-year-old KMHS graduate advances to the live rounds of the competition.

Marietta native and graduate moves on to the live rounds of The Voice competition after defeating fellow Team Adam member Nathan Parrett on Monday night's episode.

The pair, who performed "You Know I'm No Good" by Amy Winehouse in the elimination battle round, also happen to be good friends and housemates,

Pip was the favorite going into the duet battle after of "House of the Rising Sun" wowed all four judges.

While Parrett demonstrated newfound confidence in a match-up that was closer than expected, Pip's versatile voice and commanding stage presence ultimately shined through with coach Adam Levine advancing him to the live rounds.

Next, the 19-year-old will perform live as America's votes help determine who moves on to win a recording contract and the title of The Voice.
