Metro-Atlanta area Residents Buying More Guns

Shop owners have said there is an uptick in weapon purchases since the shootings in Colorado.

Gun stores across metro Atlanta and the nation are seeing an uptick in gun sales after the movie-theater shootings in Colorado, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Some people are buying weapons for protection and some say they are buying weapons for fear there could be restrictions on weapon purchases in the future, according to the report.

The uptick in gun sales around Atlanta is based on interviews with gun shops.

What do you think? Are you more likely to buy a weapon for protection in the face of the tragedy or would you like to see gun-control reform?
