Alorica Hiring 50 for Call Center

Impression Bridal Shop also is hiring in Kennesaw with the help of the state Labor Department.

Alorica is hiring 50 call center employees in Kennesaw, and the Georgia Department of Labor’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center is helping.

The , will hold a recruitment event Monday from 9 to 11 a.m.

The telemarketing jobs are permanent positions with Alorica’s Ryla subsidiary. Ryla recently hired 700 people in Kennesaw for a short-term project that was due to end this week.

The requirements for the new jobs include a high school diploma or GED, the ability to type 35 words per minute, and a year of call center or customer service experience, according to the Labor Department’s announcement.

Alorica says the starting salary is $9, and the job includes paid training.

The center also is holding a recruitment event Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to help Kennesaw’s Impression Bridal Shop hire about 15 people for its new boutique.

Impression is hiring part-time receptionists and full- and part-time salespeople.

Receptionists must be at least 19 years old, have a high school diploma or GED, and have a year of experience, the Labor Department says. Salespeople have to be at least 21 and have two years’ experience in addition to a high school diploma or GED.

The jobs pay $9 to $12.50 an hour, plus commissions for salespeople.

The boutique is due to open Dec. 20 at 501 Roberts Ct., Suite 1-5.
