Career Expo Wednesday in Cobb

Those attending should bring their résumés, be prepared to fill out applications and possibly interview for available job openings.

The Georgia Department of Labor’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center will assist Diversity Hiring with a career expo Wednesday. The expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cobb Galleria Centre, located at Two Galleria Parkway in Cobb County.

The expo will feature a number of employers, educational institutions and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. Some employers will be hiring, while others will be discussing possible future employment opportunities with the job seekers. Other organizations will be providing educational and other resources.

Applicants should bring plenty of résumés and be prepared to fill out company applications and to interview for available job openings, including part-time, full-time, entry-level, supervisory and management positions.

Those expected to participate in the expo include AFLAC, Alorica/Ryla, Bauder College, CarMax Auto Finance, Compassion Care Hospice, Consort Institute, Home Depot, Liberty Mutual, McDonald’s USA, Padgett Business Services, Primerica Financial Services, ProvNet Strategies, SmallBizPros.com, University of Phoenix and Virtuous Career Services.
