Bobby Cox to Address the Kennesaw Business Association

Guests of this month's luncheon are also invited to learn more about the KBA's new Business Development Program.

Former Atlanta Braves manager Bobby Cox is scheduled to address the Kennesaw Business Association (KBA) during the group's monthly luncheon Tuesday morning, according to KBA President John Loud.

Cox led the Braves to a division title every season from 1991 to 2005, and helped the team seal a World Series Championship in 1995. He was named Manager of the Year four times in his career and is one of only four managers to have received the award in both the American and National leagues.

In 2007, Cox passed Sparky Anderson to become the fourth-winningest manager in major league history, with 2,195 wins and 1,698 losses.

Cox's speech will take place at the KSU Continuing Education Building, located at 3333 Busbee Dr. in Kennesaw.

Networking begins at 11 a.m. while a lunch buffet, catered by Creations by Cookie, starts at 11:30. The meeting will follow at 12 p.m. Attendees must RSVP and pay online. The fee is $15 for members and $20 for guests.

The KBA connects local businesses in the Kennesaw area and recently launched its new Business Development Program. The goal of the new program is "to connect the local top professionals within their field of expertise to the Kennesaw Business Association members and help them to grow a stronger and more profitable business," according to the KBA website.

A mentoring program will be offered to provide professional services in the areas of finance, marketing, business strategy, and coaching. Special classes will also be offered in partnership with and the Small Business Development Center to provide courses on subjects such as "Growing your Business through Google" and "Pricing Strategies."

The deadline for enrollment in the Business Development Program is Aug. 10. Participation request forms are available online here.
