The Georgia Department of Labor will help employers fill a number of jobs in metro Atlanta in Cobb County. The recruitments will be held at the GDOL’s Cobb-Cherokee Career Center, located at 465 Big Shanty Rd. in Marietta.
On Tuesday, Jan. 15, Walmart will be recruiting about 50 workers for a new store in Marietta. The recruitment will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. The company will be recruiting bakers, cashiers, deli workers, sales representatives, and stock clerks. Applicants must have at least six months of retail experience. The new store is scheduled to open in late March.
Then, on Thursday, Jan. 17, Home Depot will be recruiting five supervisors who speak both English and Spanish to work in stores in the metro Atlanta area. The recruitment will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Applicants must have a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED) certificate and one year of supervisory experience. Salaries are $12 an hour.
The companies will conduct background checks and drug screening tests on selected applicants.
