Hybrid Impact Helps Clients Stay Fit

The Cherokee Street fitness facility combines strength training, cardiovascular workouts and nutrition tips.

Hybrid Impact Fitness at 3920 Cherokee Street in Kennesaw has a unique way of getting residents fit.

It's a three-prong approach and uses the word "hybrid" in its name and its philosophy, according to Hybrid marketing director Moses Waters.

"Hybrid means a thing made by combining two or more different elements--a mixture," said Waters. "And we believe a true lifestyle change is achieved when we combine the three principles of strength training, cardiovascular training, and sound nutrition while using non-traditional methods."

The use of TRX bands, kettle bells, bosu balls, resistance bands, yoga, and Zumba are just some of the cutting edge concepts Hybrid Impact Fitness uses to improve their clients' lives, said Waters.

"We don't move machines, we move body parts," said Waters in explaining the classes behind Hybrid Impact, which include Zumba, Kickboxing, and Kettlebell Impact.

The center has been open six months and sees all ages, said Waters, adding there are classes and training for sports specific needs for children ages 8 and up as well as adults and senior citizens. It offers affordable monthly fees and no contracts, he added.

The most popular workout?Β  Zumba classes, said Moses, adding the Latin-inspired dance workout burns calories in a fun environment while dancing and moving a variety of muscles. "It's very popular right now because it's a fun way to work out."
