Jennifer Hudson: Set Your Own Weight Loss Goals
The talented actress, singer, and past American Idol contestant visited Kennesaw Wednesday for a book signing.
Recording artist and actress Jennifer Hudson brought her beauty, spunk, and weight loss success story to Kennesaw Wednesday when she visited the Center on Barrett Parkway.
Hudson also signed copies of her book, "I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down," for about 250 fans standing in line to meet her. The book chronicles Hudson's early life, rise to fame, and physical transformation through the Weight Watchers program.
"I just wanted to meet Jennifer Hudson," said Kristen Crowe of Smyrna, who was first in line and has lost 110 pounds over the past year. "I did it with Weight Watchers. What I love about her is that she's maintaining her weight, and that's a constant struggle for me."

Hudson was informed of which begins next month and encourages residents to fight obesity and inactivity.
"Wow, that's great," said Hudson of the city's initiative. "I encourage people to make up their minds to do it and set their own goals. You can't go by others' goals. It took me years to realize I have to set and follow my own goals to be successful."

Hudson said she'd like to be kept updated on Kennesaw's program and find out how many participate and how many pounds are lost. "What inspired me was wanting to get my body back after my pregnancy," said Hudson.
For many people in line, she has inspired them in their weight loss battles. "You've been my inspiration and I've lost 85 pounds," said one fan as Hudson signed her book. "Thanks so much for sharing your story."
