Kennesaw Company Acquires Firm

The announcement comes less than one year after Enercon moved its corporate headquarters to Kennesaw.

An energy consulting company that made another big announcement Monday.

Enercon acquired Talisman International, a Washington, D.C., nuclear regulatory consulting firm that specializes in providing services to firms addressing complex issues before the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, the NRC Agreement States program and the U.S. Department of Energy.

"Talisman is an excellent fit for Enercon," John Richardson, the president of Enercon, said in a news release. It "will complement our existing engineering, licensing, environmental and new plant services divisions, as well as add senior level managers with extensive experience in nuclear regulatory policy and enforcement issues."

Talisman president Mike Hutsell said he is "proud to join" Enercon, which has more than 1,350 employees in 22 offices in the United States and international offices in Belgium and Abu Dahbi.

"Talisman and Enercon share a deep commitment to serving the nuclear power industry and our clients," he said. "We will continue to offer outstanding regulatory support and the technical, regulatory and management expertise that our clients rely on."
