Paddy’s Pub and Eatery has been in business since December 2009. Owner Amber Vlcek used to own several Italian restaurants and is hoping to open more Paddy's in the future.
“I named the place after my mom who was born in England and came over after World War II as a war bride,” Vlcek said. “Her dad was from Ireland. I also opened on her birthday.”
The menu includes Irish and English recipes and includes a Traditional Irish Breakfast, Homemade Bread Pudding, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Lamb Stew, Fish & Chips, Sausage Rolls and Corned Beef Rolls.
Patch: How would you describe your business? What is the atmosphere/style like?
Vlcek: Irish pub and eatery; family-style, casual. The atmosphere is very warm and welcoming.
Patch: Do you have a signature dish?
Vlcek: Reubens and corned beef and cabbage.
Patch: What sets your restaurant apart from others of its kind?
Vlcek: It is an authentic Irish Pub just like you would see if you went to Ireland.

Vlcek: Traditional Sunday dinner--Roast beef-thinly sliced, Yorkshire pudding, roasted potatoes, mashed potatoes covered in brown gravy served with a vegetable medley.
Patch: What is your favorite part about running a restaurant?
Vlcek: The people I meet, learning about their lives and watching them enjoy Paddy's food.
Patch: How did you get into the restaurant business?
Vlcek: I started working in restaurants when I was 13 and loved it.
Patch: Why did you decide to open your business in Cobb?
Vlcek: I drove around and looked until I found a place I knew was right.
