Pennies for Parker Fundraiser

Bullfrogz will host an event Thursday to raise funds for a local infant born with Cystic Hygroma.

will host a benefit concert Thursday, May 10, to raise funds for a local infant who suffers from Cystic Hygroma and is in need of surgery.

Chris Woodhouse and Amber Stark have sought help from the public through a website, YouTube video and Facebook page dedicated to their daughter, Parker Woodhouse, who was born on Jan. 17, 2012 with the growth.

The condition is the result of a blockage of the lymphatic system, which causes fluid to accumulate in a cyst-filled sac. In Parker’s case, the sac is the size of a grapefruit, almost a third of her 8-pound body.

This has resulted in a serious complication, causing Parker's nerves to become intertwined with the tiny cysts in the mass, Stark said in the video. She said she found out about the condition when she was four or five months pregnant.

"The whole thing was very hard, very emotional, you know. We wanted to blame ourselves. We're young parents. This is our first baby and the whole thing has just been, it's been a nightmare," Stark said.
