Thanksgiving Day Closings in North Cobb

It's Thanksgiving. Here are a few closings to keep in mind. If you know of others, add them in the comments field below this article.

• Schools.
  • Cobb County Schools are closed this week. Students and teachers don't return until Monday.
  • Chattahoochee Technical College - North Metro Campus will be closed until Monday.

• Mail. The United States Postal Service will not deliver mail.
  

• Transportation. There is no Cobb Community Transit service available today. Click here for additional schedule changes.

• Trash. Trash, recycle and lawn debris will not be picked up in Kennesaw. Friday trash/recycle will be collected Monday. There will be no lawn debris pick-up Monday. In Acworth, commercial garbage and yard waste collection will be picked up on Friday.

• Stores.
  • While Town Center at Cobb will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, it will open at midnight Friday, 8 a.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.
  • All Publix locations will be closed today. There are five locations in Kennesaw: Baker Road, Bells Ferry Road, Cobb Parkway, Old 41 Highway and Wade Green Road. In Acworth, there are three: Baker Road, Cedarcrest Roadand Mars Hill Road.

• Libraries. The Kennesaw Public Library and the Acworth Public Library will be closed today and Friday. 
  

• Government offices. Kennesaw City Hall and Acworth City Hall will be closed today and Friday.
