Uncle Maddio's Opens Today

The new pizza joint is located at the corner of Chastain Road and Busbee Drive.

One hundred people will win one free pizza a month for a year at the grand opening of Uncle Maddio's Pizza Joint.

The new restaurant, located at the corner of Chastain Road and Busbee Drive, is holding its Grand Opening celebration today at 11 a.m. In addition to the free pizza giveaways, the celebration will include a stilt walker and face painting for the kids.

Uncle Maddio's Founder Matt Andrew said the variety of people who live in led him to want to open a restaurant here.

"Because of the area’s diversity, we felt like it was a perfect place to offer choices for personalized pizza," Andrew said. "We know you have some folks there who are vegan or who eat gluten-free or who just love locally-sourced vegetables and hormone-free chicken."

In addition to serving pizza and other food items, Uncle Maddio's hosts Trivia Night on Thursdays and a free Art Camp for kids every Saturday from 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

Launched in 2009 and now the fastest-growing, fast-casual pizza franchise, Uncle Maddio’s is a revolutionary brand in restaurants. The restaurant serves homemade pizza, toasted paninis and gourmet salads from a menu of more than 47 fresh ingredients, three crusts, six sauces, and seven cheeses, including vegan and gluten-free pizza options.

By the end of 2012, there will be 20 Uncle Maddio’s restaurants open and 125 more in development throughout the Southeast.
