GDOL to assist Marietta/Cobb with career expo next week

The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will assist the City of Marietta and Cobb County with their 11th annual career expo Wednesday, Sept. 11. The expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cobb County Civic Center, 548 South Marietta Parkway.

The expo will feature more than 40 employers, educational institutions, and resource agencies that provide assistance to job seekers. The employers will be hiring or discussing present and future employment opportunities, while other organizations will provide educational and other resources.

Applicants should bring plenty of resumes and be prepared to fill out company applications and interview for available job openings. Attendees are encouraged to dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for employment.

Among those expected to participate in the expo include:  Advance Auto Parts, Aflac, Allied Barton Security, Alorica, Ashley Furniture Home Stores, Amerigroup Community Care, AT&T, Brightstar of Marietta, Carmax, Clear Signal Networks, Executive Apartment Staffing, Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Flightworks, Hampton Inn-Atlanta/Canton, Hire Dynamics, Homeland Security Investigations, Impact Employment Solutions of Georgia, Job Corps, Kelly Services, Lowe’s Manpower, MDF Executive Marketing, Metro Public Adjustment, O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, Panarama, Pawn Mart, Paychex, Procore Staffing Solutions, Ridgeview Institute, SCI Service Corps, International/Dignity Memorial, Snelling Staffing Services, Staples, Surge Staffing, Tug Technologies, Waffle House, Wellstar Health System and Zodiac Services Americas.
