Kennesaw State University Farmer's Market Seeking Produce Vendors!

The Campus Green at Kennesaw State University was buzzing last Wednesday afternoon with the seasonal opening of the Campus Farmer’s Market. Although not the first year Students for Environmental Sustainability (SES) have hosted the on campus market, vendors were at a record high. The University Farmer’s Market brings together a variety of small businesses, each with their own spin on organic products. Opening day was a hit for vendors and students alike, and has proved itself off to a good start.

SES has been working hard the past year on many projects in order to spread knowledge of environmental awareness, including the on campus permaculture (sustainable agriculture) garden site. This garden site is anticipated to soon take part in the market, as well as the campus cafeteria. Currently, there are no produce vendors at the Campus Farmer’s Market and SES is looking to change that! A farmer’s market can be very helpful in assisting local growers get their business out in the community, and nothing is more helpful than working with other local growers and vendors! The Kennesaw State University Farmer’s Market is help every Wednesday on the Campus Green from 12p-4p. Anyone interested in taking part and/or receiving more information please contact us through our website environmentalsustainability.co, or e-mail Courtney Griffin at cgriff38@students.kennesaw.edu
