March Radness

For those who may have missed it, the new skatepark at Swift Cantrell Park hosted its first contest this past Saturday. Ambush Board Company, Red Bull and Vans brought out skate legend Tony Alva and gave away incredible amounts of product, hats, shirts and assorted swag in addition to hosting a great contest.

Comments around the bowls from onlookers ranged from amazement at the young talent who now have a safe place to practice their sport to gratitude for the vision of the guys and gals who kept the dream of a skatepark in the forefront for the last 9 years.

Today was a great day...one of many more to come.
