Here are 5 things you need to know in Kennesaw for Sept. 7.

1. Now this feels like fall. Yesterday's high in Kennesaw didn't get above 70 degrees, and today will be much the same, according to the National Weather Service. Today will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 69. Tonight will be partly cloudy, with a low around 56.

2. The 10th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S. is just days away, and Kennesaw Patch wants to know of all the events in and around the city that will give residents a chance to remember and reflect on all that has transpired since that fateful day. 3. The Kiwanis Club of Marietta will remember the 10th anniversary with its Field of Flags installation. As one of the largest commemorative events in the nation, a flag will be placed in for each life lost on Sept. 11. On Saturday, Sept. 10, the processional of flags will travel about one mile from Grace Community Church at 770 Kennesaw Avenue to Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park. Line-up begins at 7 a.m. and the parade starts at 8 a.m., rain or shine. On Sunday, Sept. 11, the memorial service in remembrance of the lives lost begins at 7:30 a.m. The guest speaker will be Lt. Gov. Casey Cagle. The reading of names and ringing of bells will begin at 8:48 a.m. The flags will fly through Friday, Sept. 16. 4. Northstar Church is having a special service of remembrance, honor, and hope called "We Remember" on Sunday, Sept. 11, at NorthStar Church, 3413 Blue Springs Road, Kennesaw, at 9:30 & 11:00 a.m.
