2010’s total for reported major crimes was the lowest annual total in five years. “The hard work of the men and women of the Kennesaw Police Department has gone a long way in making our community a safer place to live, work, and play," said Chief Bill Westenberger. "As we all know, the economic environment has forced budgets to be tight, and people are out of work. In spite of these difficult challenges, our staff has worked harder and smarter to deliver the best service to the community."

3. The 28th Annual Fall Atlanta Home Show will open its doors Friday through Sunday at the Cobb Galleria Centre.  Hundreds of local home improvement companies will exhibit their products and services, offering innovative, affordable ideas for beautifying a home for sale, updating or remodeling a current residence, or adapting a home to accommodate family members well into retirement years.
