-Nickelodeon star Leon Thomas III for the Big Shanty Festival and hosted a special talk to benefit the city's new afterschool program for teens. The "Victorious" actor also made an appearance at Monday's  and helped at the city's teen center.

-Tuesday, a during a police chase that began on I-75 in Kennesaw.

-The Goddard School in Kennesaw is of Jane Ann Matthews, an educator who passed away in March. The school announced plans to hold a science fair and Easter egg hunt in tribute to Matthews.

-Wednesday, Kennesaw State University's new athletic director hired as the men’s basketball coach. Preston replaces Tony Ingle, who was fired in March.

-Friday, from injuries suffered in a three-vehicle crash on Barrett Parkway. Police expect to charge Alberto Jose Abreus of Kennesaw in connection with the wreck and the woman’s death.
